Welding X80, 4130, 8630 with NACE requirements

These high strength steels obtained their properties due to the heat treatment during production. When welding these type of steels the cooling speed (T8/5) needs to be as close as possible to the original heat treatment of the steel itself. In many cases these steels have to undergo a heat treatment after welding so the filler metal must be suitable for the application. Recently new welding consumables have been developed based on current knowledge and combined with the experience of the last 30 years.

FCAW:
CEWELD AA B500, this microalloyed basic seamless copper-coated flux cored wire has a nickel content of less than 1% and meets NACE requirements. A yield strength of at least 500 MPa by PWHT combined with more than 50 joules at -80 °C impact energy and less than 3 ml/100gWM hydrogen make it an outstanding wire in the class (T 50 8).

CEWELD AA M610, this micro alloyed metal core seamless copper coated welding wire has less that 1% Nickel to fulfill NACE requirements. A yield strength of at least 620 MPa in the as welded condition combined with more than 50 Joule at -60 °C and less than 3 ml/100grWM hydrogen makes an outstanding wire in this class (T 62 6)

CEWELD AA R610, this seamless rutile flux cored welding wire is especially developed for use in all positions and orbital applications. A yield strength of at least 610 MPa in the as welded condition with more than 80 Joule at -40 °C  and less than 3 ml/100gWM hydrogen makes it an outstanding wire in this class (T 62 4)

SMAW:
CEWELD 10018-D2, this completely new developed electrode is covered with the latest high basic coating and offers excellent weldability. The high percentage of Manganese combined with 0,5% Molybdenum guarantees high and stable mechanical properties even after long heat treatments. Approved by the notified body DNV in the class 4Y62 ensures save usage and the absence of Nickel fulfills the NACE requirements for sure gas.

SAW:
CEWELD S3 NiMo1, a solid submerged arc wire with 0,95% Nickel and 0,5% Molybdenum that guarantees a minimum yield strength of 550 MPa and excellent sub zero impact properties at - 47 °C. Combined with FL 851 low hydrogen containing flux reliable joints can be made with excellent welding properties even in narrow gab applications.
